DAY 1- OUTGHOING TO CAJAMARCA.

 

16:00 Metting of the travellers at the meeting point previously set, to start the trip to Cajamarca city. Overnight in the comfort of the bus with chemical bathroom and bus hostess.

CAJAMARCA was the first city wher the spanish conquerors arrived on the xVI century. The Room of the Rescue is very famous. According to the history, the Inka Atahualpa filled up this room with gold to negotiate his liberty with the spanish conquerors. It's located at 2750 meters of altitude.

 

 

 

DAY 2: CUMBEMAYO / OTUZCO

 

06:00 Arrival to Cajamarca and instalation in the Hotel. Break. Typical Breakfast.

09:00 Tour to CUMBEMAYO. CUMBEMAYO Is located at está situado 3510 mts of altitude. Its more important atractive y su atractivo más importante is the Aqueduct, a unique work of the hidraulic engineering of the Pre-colombine America.

The aqueduct is an hidraulic system of transport and canalization of water, made with volcanic rocks which covers around 3 square kms. It shows the high tech knowledge of the ancient peruvians. Throught the tour we'll see Frailones, stones rainforests, graphics printed on the stones and several geologic natural formations.

 

 

 

 

13:00 Typical Lunch.

14:00 Tour to the Otuzco Necripolis, hydrangeas garden, Fundo Los Alpes. The Otuzco Necropolis are crypts or pre-inka funeral thombs, made from polishing the rocks surfaces of volcvanicorigin.

 

 

 

19:00 Dinner. Invitatio to the best disco on town. Drink included.

 

DAY 3: THE INKA BATHS / PORCON

 

06:00 Inka Baths. They are fountains of natgural thermal waters with medicinal properties, so it's more accurate to call them: The Thermo-medicinal Waters of the Inka.

They have been aconditioned hrough indivudual and goup pools.


Typical Breakfast. Visit to the Llacanora town and falls.

14:00 Typical Lunch. Transfer to PORCON Farmville, of unbelievable beauty. Ovenight.Camping. PORCON is a farmville open to the tourism, not only to apreciate the landscapes through th etrekkin, but also to prac tice some Eco and Agro Tourism. Bonfire Dinner. Memmorable experience..

 

 

 

 

DAY 4: CITY TOUR / SANTA APOLONIA

 

05:00 We will milk the cows and see how the cheese, yogurt and "MANJAR BLANCO" are prepared.

 

06:00 Typical Breakfast. Trekkin through the verdan grove, inka bridge, vicunhas, mini-zoo, we'll see pumas, bears, ñandúes (rheas). We'll enjoy the Ecotourism: Flora and fauna and participate in camping activities. Typical Lunch. Return to Cajamarca.

 

 

 

  

 

15:00 City tour: City Viewpoint at the top of lSanta Apolonia mountain, the Rescue Room, Complejo Belen, Main Square.

The Complejo Belen, today museum, was an old hospital for the indians, built between the XVII y XVIII centuries and worked until 1965.

22:00 Dinner and trip to TRUJILLO.

DAY 5: TRUJILLO - CHAN CHAN / HUACAS OF THE SUN AND THE MOON.

TRUJILLO is called the City of the Eternal Spring because it's sunny all the year. It's the cradle of teh Mochica Civilization, showed up in the mud and adobe constructions. The zenith was between the III and VII centuries. The Chimu goldsmithing was fabolous between the XII and XV centuries.

 

04:00 Arrival and transfer to the hotel.

 

08:00 Typical Breakfast: Frito. Visit to the museum in-situ and CHAN CHAN, the biggest adobe city of the Prehispanic America and teh second of the world. Then visit to the Seaside Resort of Huanchaco., where you'll see the TOTORA embarcations from the pre-inka times.

13:00 Typical Lunch: "Cabrito a la norteña" with show of marinera.

 

14:00 Tour to the TEMPLES OF TEH SUN AND THE MOON, in Moche. The Temple of the Sun was a political-administrative center, while the Temple of the Moon was a cerminial center, We will see reliefs and mural paintings concerning the "Dios Degollador" (Head cutter God). According to the found vestiges, it is though that here there were human sacrifices with religious purposes. The monumental quality, the forms and original colors of this buildings, make think about a very complex ideology of the past, full of unsolved misteries.

 

 

 

17:00 City tour: Main Square, Cathedral, colonial houses, Alameda del Recreo, Muralla perimetral, Handicrafts Fair. Shopping tour, delight of the original King kongs Zela street. Return to Hotel. Dinner.

 

  

 

DAY 6: CHICLAYO / LORD OF SIPAN

 

07:00 Typical Breakfast. Outgoping to Chiclayo. main square, cathedral, etc.

 

10:00 Huaca Rajada. LORD OF SIPAN, The Real Thombs.

 

On 1987, thanks to the grat efforts ofl Dr. Walter Alva, the world became aware about the discovery of 3 tombs of gobernants with with semi-divine character, because of the ornaments found there.

The impressive feature of this discovery is the real fact. The painting of objects in the murals were not anymore product of imagination, but realiity. Several clothings, utensiles, textile objects, ceramics, jewels, etc. many of them worked in gold, bronze and precious stones were restored and studied.

Also it was made DNA tests to know about some features of these gobernants, like age, physical appereance, genetic details, etc. This is the most important archeological discovery of the 20th. century together with the discovery of Tutan Camon in Egypt.

 

After the Real Thombs, we'll go to the Brüning Museum in Lambayeque.

 

14:00 Typical Lunch. Tour to the Eten port and the weavers town of Monsefu.

 

21:00 Dinner. Return to Lima. Overnight in the comfort of the bus.

 

DAY 7: LIMA / ARRIVAL POINT.

06:00 : Arrival to the pre-decided place in Lima.
